INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS:
TEST AREA: Always test TI FSP on a small area of the surface to be treated before overall application to determine suitability and results. Use a test location that is out of the way and not in the main area of the final area. SITE PREPARATION: Surfaces must be clean and free from oil, paint, wax, sealers, curing compounds, related surface stains, rubber marks, dirt and laitance. Use a trusted degreaser for removing grease, oil, or rubber marks if present. After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly with potable water and allowed to dry completely. APPLICATION: Pour TI FSP into a mop bucket and gently squeeze out excess material. Close container after each use. Do not place mop into a bucket wringer and mechanically compress out, which can cause foam build-up and possible bubble formation in the finish coat. Apply the TI FSP in a figure 8 motion that allows for 20-25% overlap and no missed spots. Allow to dry 15-25 minutes between coats. If applied on top of a solvent based acrylic sealer such as Stampsheen, allow the sealer to cure for a minimum of 48 hours prior to applying the FSP. FSP will harden in approximately 4 hours. Allow 24 hours to dry completely. CLEAN-UP: Use soap and warm water promptly after application, before the TI FSP is allowed to dry. MAINTENANCE: Clean surfaces with mild soap and water. Abrasive cleaners, strong chemicals, acids and floor strippers can damage the final seal, in addition to abrasion from pedestrian traffic and routine scuffs and scratches. Rinse thoroughly and completely with water after cleaning. Floor Shine Polish typically lasts up to one year depending on traffic volume, concrete surface hardness and wear. TI FSP may be buffed as needed with a suitable buffing machine and pads. COVERAGE: Approximately 150-200 square feet per gallon (36.8-49.0 square meters / liter). CAUTIONS: Do not dilute or thin. The use of a polyester fiber mop (microfiber) is recommended to achieve even leveling, avoid the use of cotton mops. Apply when the surface temperature is above 50°F (10°C) and rising. Do not apply in conditions of high wind, blowing dust, or high humidity. Do not apply if water exposure is expected within 24 hours of application. Early water exposure can cause permanent whitening or discoloration. TI FSP is not suitable for concrete subject to chemical or caustic exposure or containment, warehouse floors, or applications that are exposed to subgrade water or under continuous submersion. While they are wet, sealed surfaces will be more slippery than unsealed surfaces. Not recommended for use in exterior applications or on pool decks or smooth, wet areas that have high pedestrian use. Do not use on surfaces which will later receive concrete overlays, toppings, coatings, or joint sealants. TI FSP is to be applied on top of concrete that has been sealed with TI clear or tinted sealer products. FSP may be used on countertops as long as food is not introduced until product is cured.
